A car accident on a Lawrence NJ road resulted in the tragic death of a woman from Hamilton, New Jersey.

The fatal auto accident occurred around 11:00 p.m. The victim, a 57-year-old Hamilton NJ woman, was driving southbound on Princeton Pike in Lawrence, New Jersey when she apparently lost control of her vehicle. The exact location of the accident was between Fackler Road and Province Line Road, with the victim reportedly veering across the opposite lane of traffic and coming to a stop just off the roadway when she hit a tree.

The Lawrence Police Department dispatched traffic officers to the scene of the single-vehicle accident after a passerby placed a 911 call to report that a vehicle had left the roadway. When Lawrence NJ patrol officers got to the scene, they discovered the victim inside her car and suffering from significant physical injuries.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene and tried to treat the woman for her injuries. They performed first aid on the victim but could not save her; she was pronounced dead at the scene of the car crash.

Investigators with the Lawrence Police Department are actively investigating the accident and trying to determine exactly what might have caused the crash. At this time, law enforcement does not suspect that the driver was intoxicated or under the influence of drugs while driving. Additionally, police believe that no other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Depending on the ultimate outcome of the investigation, it is possible that the victim’s loved ones may be able to bring a wrongful death claim in a personal injury lawsuit or a product liability lawsuit. If the fatal accident was caused by a negligent driver, a road hazard, or a defective auto part, different parties could be held liable for the victim’s tragic death.
